Aviation was the first of many passions I’ve fostered over the years. I was born on an Air Force base in Oklahoma and grew up around airports as my Dad is an aircraft mechanic. My earliest memories are of airplanes and aviation has been an obsession no matter what else I’m focused on. Although I don’t fly professionally, I’m lucky to own and operate a Mooney – in my opinion, the best and most cost-effective single piston-engine airplane you can buy.
This blog will focus on the benefits and pitfalls of small aircraft ownership and how this unique and fulfilling hobby fits into my life as a husband and father.
